Unlike many programs that take a “one-size-fits-all” approach, LYF Inc. designs individualized training plans centered on functional academics, positive behavior skills, employment readiness, and independent living. We believe it is equally important to provide meaningful social opportunities—both on campus and within the community.

Our program includes engaging educational outings, exciting off-campus trips, and social events during and after program hours, all designed to enrich lives and build lasting connections.

Home Education Instructional Program

At LYF Inc., our Home Education Instructional Program is designed with one purpose in mind: to empower students through individualized learning and meaningful life experiences. We continue to build programming that reflects our commitment to personalized care, active engagement, and long-term developmental growth.

Using a student-centered approach, we implement specific engagement strategies and tailored interventions that promote independence, growth, and meaningful participation. Our curriculum is rooted in life skills and organized into core areas that prepare students for success in their daily lives:

Functional Academics: Practical reading, writing, and math skills for everyday life, such as telling time, using money, reading signs, and managing schedules.
Cooking: Hands-on learning in food preparation, kitchen safety, nutrition, and following recipes of varying complexity.
Literacy: Opportunities to enhance communication through shared stories, comprehension activities, vocabulary building, and creative self-expression.
Health and Competition: Encourages wellness, personal hygiene, teamwork, and adapted recreational activities that suit individual abilities.
Faith and Character: Supports personal growth by teaching kindness, integrity, and values that foster respectful relationships with peers, staff, and community.
Self-Determination: Builds confidence and independence by helping students make choices, understand their rights, and advocate for themselves.
